history: From the all-knowing TF wiki
personality:

For every insane warlord, there is at least one unquestionably loyal, if narrow-minded, fanatic follower who causes others to step back and side eye. Turns out, Skyquake happens to be one of Megatron’s most dependently loyal warriors, to the point where Megatron sent him to guard the energon reserves on Earth. What defines Skyquake the most is his devotion to his duty to Megatron, and a willingness to die during his duty. To him, Megatron is everything, the very reason for his own existence, and anyone who speaks against Megatron deserves nothing more than the most painful of deaths.

While Skyquake is loyal to Megatron, his loyalty doesn’t extend to the Decepticon themselves, as shown by his annoyance with Starscream when the Seeker tried to command him. If anyone besides Megatron tries to command him, they deserve the punch in the face they will inevitably get (even if they are a superior officer). Skyquake is a terribly stubborn person, and he will remain steadfast to his own beliefs through the thick and thin and even beyond that, it takes a lot to change his mind in any situation. Cowardice and backstabbing are two of the many things that anger and disgust Skyquake. As such, Skyquake despises Starscream, even before Starscream made a foolish attempt to command him in the place of Megatron.

In contrast to his more level-headed brother, Skyquake is loud and has extremely quick and violent temper. Who needs an inside voice after all, when you possess a big booming voice with lots of bass? Not to mention that it comes with its own echo, you’ve got to leave an impression somehow. Anything that isn’t Megatron can potentially set his delightfully volatile temper off, and he never sees the point in pulling punches, so it’s not unreasonable to think that he’s sent several fellow Decepticons to the medical bay at several points in his life. Skyquake has a “kill first, ask questions never” policy that’s served him well, and helped him become a feared warrior among the Decepticons and Autobots alike. Not one to believe in mercy towards the enemy or deserters, Skyquake will tear apart his opponents with a savage ruthlessness. With that said, Skyquake has no personal grudges against the Autobots, and treats Autobot warriors with the respect a fellow warrior deserves. Skyquake does have a strong sense of honour. He will not use underhanded tactics to do battle, and will face his opponents head on in a fair (usually) battle. Do you want Skyquake to wait for something or be patient? Well, you’re talking to the wrong Decepticon, Skyquake is as patient as fire and is twice as explosive.

A rarity among Cybertronians, Skyquake and his brother Dreadwing are split-spark twins. They share each other’s shape and size, and because of their split-spark, they also share an emotional bond, allowing them to sense each other, even as far as the other side of the galaxy. As a result, they are much closer to each other on a person level than what is average cybertronian. Skyquake isn’t a sentimental being, and tries not to let this bond distract him during battle. He trusts that his brother is perfectly capable of looking after himself, and he acknowledges that Dreadwing is much smarter and, in many ways, more able than he is. That doesn’t mean that he won’t knock Dreadwing around when he feels like it... he’s the bigger and stronger brother after all.

abilities/powers:

Split Spark: Dreadwing and Skyquake share a split spark, effectively making them twins. Through this bond they are able to sense each other even as far as the other corner of the universe, and they know when the other dies. When closer to each other, they can sense each other’s emotions, and through that they share an understanding of the other that they can’t with normal Decepticons. It also makes them an extremely efficient team in battle.

Combat: When it comes to weapons, the only one Skyquake has is his gatling gun, which causes considerable damage. Oddly enough, it isn’t attached to his body, and it appears to be his only weapon of use. Skyquake doesn’t rely on his gun though, preferring to get up close and personal to deal heavy damage to his opponent with his bare claws hands. He is extremely strong and much faster than his large size would suggest, making hand-to-hand combat his greatest strength. He wasn’t feared and respected for nothing after all.

Alt mode: Skyquake can transform into a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, a fancy sort of high-tech flying craft that he scanned from Agent Fowler. His skill as a flier is.... alright, but he’s far from the best. He certainly won’t be outflying Starscream or Dreadwing any time soon. While in his alt-mode, he has the ability to fire heat-seeking missiles at his target.

first person sample:

[There are many things about this place that Skyquake has problems with. Being shrunk ignites his fury, having his gatling gun taken away has ensured his wrath, and being placed in close proximity to organics is the final straw. However, all of that can be ignored or adapted to, there is one particular thing about this pathetic city that Skyquake cannot turn from.]

Starscream you foul, two-faced coward. If you have even the slightest shred of honour, you will face me in battle.

If not, I will hunt you down myself, and exterminate you with extreme prejudice.

[Either way, Skyquake is going to perform his duty to Lord Megatron.]

third person sample: Through the greatest of challenges Skyquake had fought his way through. War was an ever-shifting thing, but Skyquake managed to steadfastly stay the same throughout it all. Battle after battle he fought in the name of the mighty Lord Megatron, and battle after battle he had won. To him, there was no greater joy than to perform his duty to the best of his ability.

It was with that in mind that he humbly stood before Lord Megatron, and accepted a mission that tested one of his greater weaknesses: His lack of patience. Being trapped in a coffin (on an organic planet no less) for the next millenia was not endearing, but he was a warrior with a Master, and it was not his place to complain. What scraps of humour he could dredge up for himself said that it would be the longest he had ever been able to stay still in his life. Wouldn’t Dreadwing be proud.

He had no reservations at all about this mission... but he did wonder how he was going to tell his Twin that he had accepted a mission that would separate them both for an indefinite period of time. Skyquake was proud to be given a mission of such importance, and he knew that his brother would understand, but this was going to be the farthest and longest they have been separated.

Skquake decided that there was no time to waste, it was best that he seeked out Dreadwing and explained it to him immediately.
